    Djanogly City Academy Students In Top 8% Nationally For Progress

    Djanogly City Academy students are top of the class and performing well above the national average, according to the government’s latest league table results.

    With a Progress 8 Score of +0.46, Djanogly City Academy continues to rank in the top 10% nationally for progress when compared to similar schools and again in the top five schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

    Djanogly students celebrate a rise in GCSE results after beating last years record-breaking outcomes

    Djanogly City Academy students are today celebrating beating last year’s record-breaking GCSE results.

    A total of 134 students sat GCSEs this year. The pass rate has risen to 58% compared to 51% last year.

    Several students achieved a new grade 9 and high pass rates in the new reformed GCSEs including science, history and geography, demonstrating the hard work and dedication of staff and students alike.

    For the second year running, 99% of students achieved a pass in science, and the percentage of students gaining a grade 4 (C grade) or above in geography and history are the highest ...

    Poetry by Year 7 Djanogly City Academy students

    Working with Nottingham’s Young Poet Laureate, Georgina Wilding, Year 7 students will perform their own work as part of the Nottingham Poetry Festival season.

    During specialist workshops held at the school by Georgina, 20 students from Djanogly City Academy have developed their own poems. For many it has been the first time they have written and shared their poetry, let alone considered performing it.

    Poems range in tone from the surreal to the serious, but cover the themes of 'home' and 'identity'. This is an ideal event for family, ...

  • Djanogly Students Develop grit, determination and team work

    9 enthusiastic students embarked on an amazing journey to Jamie’s Farm

    After a long bus journey, the bus hitting several trees and Omar being sick the whole way – Literally 5 full bags!! we finally settled down for a quick tour of the farm and a beautiful meal prepared for us by the lovely staff.

    The morning rounds consisted of getting up at 7:30 am to feed the; chickens, cows, goats, horses, sheep and dogs.

    After breakfast each morning the group were split into smaller ‘working groups’ to work in different areas around the farm. These consisted of; wood chopping, horse work, gardening, farm maintenance, herding sheep and preparing food. The students att...
