Homework
Homework and subject support
Homework is set regularly throughout all years and subject areas.
Homework is set to build on subject content delivered in class and increase students independence and responsibility to develop their learning. However, we recognise that at times students need support in completing some tasks set. Students should talk with their class teacher if they feel that they need help to complete homework set prior to the deadline. Many subject areas run regular homework support evenings and teachers across the academy are available to help students out of class time if they need it. There are also homework support sessions that run in the library at breaks, lunch times and after school if general support and guidance is needed, or students need to access books or IT facilities to help them complete tasks set.
