  • Monday 25 January 2021 Breakfast Food Parcels A huge thank you to the Salvation Army and S.A.F.E (Supporting Arms Feeds Everyone), who have been working in partnership to provide breakfast food supplies for us to provide food parcels to families in need.

  • Thursday 7 January 2021 Year 7 Police Cadets Roadshow Back at the end of last term, in partnership with the Nottinghamshire Police, our year 7 scholars signed up for the Djanogly Police Cadets. The scholars took part in a jam packed, fun filled activity roadshow event, developing their leadership skills and resilience through a variety of team building exercises and problem solving tasks.’
  • Tuesday 8 December 2020 EAL Christmas Card Competition Scholars in years 7, 8 and 9  have worked hard to create Christmas cards in a range of foreign languages for our festive Christmas card competition to represent the Christmas traditions in other countries.

  • Tuesday 13 October 2020 Changes to GCSE examinations announced 12th October 2020 The government have announced that most GCSE examinations will be put back by three weeks. This means the overwhelming majority of examinations will now take place between 7th June and 2nd July. There will be just one GCSE English paper and one GCSE maths paper before May half term. The timing of the results days have also been adjusted with GCSE results day now on Friday 27th August.

  • Sunday 6 September 2020 Welcome back to our scholars Djanogly City Academy welcomed back children in years 7 to 11 last week, with staff having been busy over the summer break getting the academy ready for their safe return. It was a real pleasure to see those smiling faces back in school. We wish everyone a happy and successful year.

  • Tuesday 14 July 2020 #Blacklivesmatter  At DCA we felt it was a priority to discuss with staff how they feel about recent events regarding anti-racist protests, the murder of George Floyd and to hear their own experiences of witnessing or being on the receiving end of racism in the UK and Nottingham. This was a long overdue and very necessary conversation, which we must now ensure leads into action and education for our staff, our scholars and the wider community. We are committed to opening up dialogue around anti-racism and challenging discrimination in our society.
