Your guide to HPV Vaccination leaflet
Why get your child vaccinated?
- Having the HPV vaccine helps protect both boys and girls from Human Papillomavirus related caners.
- The UK programme has already contributed to preventing future deaths from cancer. We expect to eventually prevent hundreds of cancer deaths every year.
Meningococcal ACWY, Tetanus, Diphtheria & Polio (3 in 1)
Offered to scholars in Years 9 and 10.
Tetanus, Diphtheria & Polio (3-in-1) Booster
Why get your child vaccinated?
- Meningococcal ACWY – protects your son/daughter against four types of meningococcal bacteria (Types A, C, W and Y) that cause meningitis (inflammation of the brain lining) and septicaemia (blood poisoning). We strongly urge you to take this opportunity to protect your son/daughter against these four infections which, as you will be aware, can kill or have serious life-long consequences.
- The 3 in 1 booster – protects your son/daughter against Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Polio, all of which can be very serious diseases. This is a booster for the vaccinations your son/daughter received as a baby, and then again at approximately 3-4 years (the preschool booster).
